I called ASUS support, and of course after waiting for 20 minutes, I got the ever so wonderful "We're so busy, leave your name and number and we'll call YOU" response. It is very easy to remove the BIOS chip with your fingers. Make sure you line the legs up and do not bent them flat as I did once when I was in a hurry. Ended up taking twice as long to straighten and fit than if I had taken my time. ![]() ![]() I've never actually did a chip swap before, but seeing videos of it online, it looks as simple as replacing the CMOS battery.
